MP Jacob Rees-Mogg, who led the demands for the no-confidence vote, highlighted that losing support of a third of the MP’s was a “terrible result for the Prime Minister”.

Labour Leader Jeremy Corbyn however stated that the results had “changed nothing”.

“Theresa May has lost her majority in Parliament, her government is in chaos and she’s unable to deliver a Brexit deal that works for the country.”
