The Christmas adverts are finally here and are set to lift the spirits of the nation who is ready for what may be a very different holiday and the end to a testing year.

Here at Raven, we have picked out some of this year’s best adverts to help bring some joy to a world that seems overwhelming at the moment.

All adverts have taken different approaches to making light of this year. Some have tackled the topic of the pandemic head-on and others have decided to ignore the topic that is looming over our lives.

This allows room for a range of different adverts to bring us all joy this year. From comedy to heartfelt adverts — the Christmas adverts were needed this year.

Aldi

Everyone’s favourite carrot is back. Kevin is out in the cold. Will he get home in time for Christmas?

Argos

We all needed some magic this year. These two sister’s dreams of becoming master magicians. And after they circle a simple box of tricks in the book of dreams, we witness a very special performance for their most adoring fans — their family. All done with the backdrop of the soothing voice of Gary Barlow.

McDonald’s

A light-hearted advert once again this year from McDonald’s. They remind you to be #ReindeerReady.

Amazon

One of the few adverts this year to address the pandemic effects head on. This year the Arts saw a massive hit due to the pandemic, but as Amazon reminds us, the show must go on.

Not on the High Street

The small things are always important at Christmas. With the pandemic hitting many small businesses, this heart-warming advert helps highlight those small businesses on their site.

Barbour

Based on a true story, this one is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. Raymond Briggs’ beloved Father Christmas will bring something for the whole family to talk about.

TK Maxx

This fabulous goat is not the only one who deserves lots of treats this Christmas. TK Maxx has remembered to treat everyone this year — that is the pet included.

Disney

You can always count on Disney to provide a heart-warming tale. Highlighting the importance of family and the love we all share we melt your heart this Christmas.

DFS

Now it would not be Christmas in the UK without Wallace and Gromit on our screens. Partnered with DFS, the pair are joined with their sheep pals to provide smiles to all.

Coca-Cola

Even though it still features that famous lorry it is a very different advert from Coca-Cola this year. Highlighting the importance of making time for loved ones, especially at Christmas.
